Ei boyEarly Intervention

Childhood is an important time for learning. Early learning experiences will influence the growth and development of your child. Our early intervention services will help you support your dreams and visions for your child. We believe you are the most effective teacher for your child’s learning.

The program, also called EI, serves children under the age of three identified as having a delay in at least one of five development areas. A Help Me Grow service coordinator will first work with the family to write an Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) which details your service. Each family will then be assigned an developmental specialist.

The developmental specialist will work with parents and children to encourage development through the use of toys and other activities. They also conduct ongoing assessments and help parents understand progress. If appropriate, the developmental specialist will make recommendations for therapy services as needed.

These services can take place in the home or in one of our centers located throughout the county.

Please see Get Started: Infants and Toddlers, for details on how to be enrolled.
